WKKO Regulations, Age Groups, and Rule Styles. Age divisions. Junior Boys and Girls; 7 and under 8 - 9 10 - 11 12 - 13 14 - 15 16 - 17 Adult Age Division Men and Women: 18 and up Rules Styles: FCR (Full Contact Rules) INT.Rules (International Rules Style) Int.Rules is the same as Low Kick Division Rules for each: FCR= All Punches and Kicks above the waist. Legal Strike Areas: A) Face and Head B) Above the Belt, front of torso. C) Back only the Kidney's (NO STRIKES TO BASE OF SKULL OR SPINE). Legal Strikes: A) All punches that hit with padded area of glove. B) All kicks above the waist, striking with any part of the foot or leg. C) Spin techniques are allowed, this includes backfist, backkicks and hook kicks. D) Foot sweeps to forward leg, Must be boot to boot (No sweeps to base leg or rear leg). Illegal Strikes: A) No Kicks to legs or lower than waist area is allowed. B) No leg Checks above the foot. C) No Groin kicks or punches INT.Rules or Low Kick= Same as above except the addition of Leg kicks are allowed to inside and outside of leg, above the ankle. NO Groin Kicks or Hip kicks. No Knee's All Kicks and Punches are allowed. NO Knee's, clinch, or grabbing allowed. No Elbows Duration of Rounds and Scoreing both styles: 7 and under is (1) minute rounds 8 - 11 is 1 minute and a half rounds 12 and up is 2 minute rounds (1) minute break for all ages 2 rounds for pre-lims,if it is a draw after two rounds, it goes to the third and deciding round. If it is a draw after three rounds, the ref. picks the winner. All Finals are 3 rounds There is no limit on kicks, but if the ref. sees no kicks being thrown he will tell the fighter or fighters to throw kicks. If after the second warning there are no kicks being thrown, points can be deducted form that fighter. Ref. will stop the fight and tell the judges to deduct a point from a certain fighter. The judges score cards are scored on a 10 point must system. If there is a knockdown, the ref. will call a standing (8) count, each Judge can score it individually, they do not have to make it a 10-8 round if they dont think it was a knockdown. (3) Knockdown rule is in effect, if they are all in the same round. Head Gear is mandatory in all Amateur fights, FCR and INT.Rules. Foot pads and shin Guards are mandatory for all sanction fights. Gloves will be provided by promoters, 10oz gloves minimum, 12oz maximum A fighter can be DQ'd for misconduct!!! All fights will be documented and rankings adjusted. All Fighters will need to provide their Current fight record at weigh-ins. Exhibitions are only (2) rounds and can be (1) round if agreed on by coaches before fight. All Walkover Winners will be Champions in their respected weight Class and age group. If they do an exhibition because of walkover, the fight can be documented as a (W) for both fighters. All exhibitions will have Ref. raise both hands at end of fight. Tournaments are single elimination. If the winning fighter cannot continue due to injury or for any reason, the losing fighter may take his/her place at the discretion of the opposing fighter. A fighter can win a championship by default, but it is the descretion of the promoter if a belt or any type of award is offered. If a fighter is called to the ring more than three times to fight, they can be DQ'd for a no show. All Protest need to be brought to the attention of the officials within (30) minutes of a fight. The official will need to get it in handwriting and what is being protested needs to be documented. The protest will need backup documentation example: Video, pictures, witnesses, Rules presented that were broken, or documentation of rules that were not followed. All of this will need to be sent to a WKKO Official within (1) week of fight. The WKKO can take up to (1) month to decide on its decision. The record and decision can be overturned by the WKKO. All rankings and awards adjusted at end of finding.
